Employee Compensation and Benefits

PreCare offers more than a decade of experience as a premier provider of onsite physical therapy and injury prevention services. When you come to work for PreCare you will enjoy many benefits:

  • Work with the best. The majority of PreCare therapists have 4-8 years clinical experience. Most have completed, or are in the process of completing, advanced clinical certifications.

  • Integrated treatment model. PreCare integrates skilled exercise, manual therapy, functional activities, patient education, and work goals for successful patient outcomes.
  • Evidence-based practice. PreCare measures outcomes for over 20,000 employees served and has consistently demonstrated reduced incidence of injury and fewer physical therapy visits when compared to workers compensation averages.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Paid Time Off (PTO)-Paid time off can be used for vacation, illness, or personal business.
  • Holidays-We offer paid holidays to full-time employees for the following occasions: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
  • Continuing Education Training Support - An annual allowance of $500 towards approved courses of continuing professional education.
  • Health Insurance package-PreCare offers a full benefit plan including medical, dental and vision. PreCare covers 100% of the cost of providing the plan for all full time employees. Additionally, dependents may be added to the PreCare plans with PreCare contributing 20% of that additional cost. Any personal contributions will be deducted from your paycheck on a pre-tax basis.
  • Medical - We offer Blue Shield (or Blue Card where appropriate) with a choice of either HMO or PPO and a Kaiser HMO plan within California.
  • Dental-We offer a PPO plan via Principal Dental or its affiliate networks.
  • Vision - We offer vision insurance through VSP. Life Insurance-This provides all eligible employees with life insurance of one times annual base salary and an equal amount of Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (subject to a maximum salary limitation).
  • Disability Insurance Plans-We provide Long Term Disability coverage at no cost to the employee to help provide protection against total loss of income. Subject to criteria, this plan will pay 60% of salary after a 180 day waiting period.
  • 401k plan-We offer the opportunity to save for retirement on a tax advantaged basis through convenient payroll deductions.

In addition, PreCare offers other non-benefited positions of regular part-time and per diem. Therapists who work regular part-time positions are assigned to specific clients and have regular hours. Per diem therapists are used as relief therapy for PreCare therapists. PreCare provides training to all therapists in these categories to be able to perform onsite therapy and prevention services.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

Company-supported programs

PreCare not only encourages but also supports its employees' participation in educational workshops and courses to promote their clinical education:

  • We offer $500 of CEU assistance per year for full time therapists and $ 250 for part time therapists.

Ergonomics Training and Cerfification

PreCare offers an extensive four level internal certification program to ensure that therapist are prepared to provide clients with high quality services integrating recent research.

Our certification program objectives include:

  • Orient newly hired therapist in PreCare policies and procedures
  • Train therapists in onsite treatment that provides efficient and quality one-on-one functionally based treatment. Treatment plans promote patient goals of reducing pain, increasing function and return to work - all in a timely manner
  • Train therapists in providing injury prevention services in the workplace. Training in ergonomic assessment and recommendations includes effective interventions in behavior modification, equipment modification, and administrative control solutions. The therapist becomes an integral player in the employer's safety and loss prevention team.
  • Provide internal certification of gradated levels of higher ergonomics skill attainment and achievement. These higher levels include manual material handling ergonomics, job analyses, and macro ergonomics used for program development in ongoing injury prevention services.
