Physical Therapist Job Responsibilities & Qualifications

PreCare employs highly skilled therapists who embrace our philosophy of early intervention at the workplace. PreCare hires licensed physical and occupational therapists with a minimum of two years clinical expertise. We employ therapists who have a strong outpatient orthopedic background, experience with workers' compensation and ergonomics. PreCare hires therapists that are flexible, reliable, organized, creative, excellent communicators and thrive in various work environments.

Your job responsibilities will include:

  • Interview patients to determine essential work and daily functions required by the patient.
  • Formulate individualized treatment plans, with an emphasis on self-responsibility, to achieve goals to maximize functional improvement.
  • Reassess and redirect treatment routinely to improve function and return patients back to work and life. PreCare therapists work closely with physicians and employer to provide a true team approach. Therapist opinions and recommendations are strongly considered when establishing activity restrictions or considering adjunct testing or consultations.
  • Provide basic injury prevention services to our clients including job coaching, educational training classes, ergonomic assessments and recommendations, and work-n-stretch and fitness programs.

Is some of these job responsibilities are new to a therapist, don't worry. We provide an extensive training program for our therapists to make sure they feel comfortable and competent in all of PreCare's quality treatment and prevention services.

Measuring Outcomes

We provide our therapists an individual profile of their practice patterns so that they can correlate treatment with outcomes. PreCare tracks metrics to assess treatment and injury prevention outcomes. Our goals are to identify, measure, affect and perpetuate best practices among all of our therapists. These quarterly reports are intended to make our therapists more effective by providing a high level overview of utilization, outcomes, and process management statistics across PreCare's entire therapist population and across the industry.
