Benefits of PreCare Therapy
Physical therapy is a unique science and art that utilizes a wide variety of procedures to restore function to the body, reduce pain and prevent future injury. Our talented clinical team devises individualized treatment plans to achieve the specific goals of each patient. Patients are referred to PreCare onsite physical therapy by their treating physicians.
On the first therapy visit, an initial evaluation and individualized treatment program is completed. Under the constant supervision of a PreCare therapist, patient goals are established and treatment begins. Therapy is functionally based and outcome oriented. Injured employees receive one-on-one attention from the therapist for the entire treatment time of one hour.
Physical therapy treatment may include: Stretching and flexibility exercises, therapeutic exercise, strengthening and conditioning, manual therapy, modalities, pain management techniques, self care management skills, body mechanics training, home exercise program, RTW job coaching and modifications,.
Conditions treated include, but are not limited to, sprains and strains to the neck, back, wrist, knee and ankle, arthritis, fractures, peripheral nerve compression or injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders related to repetitive motion injuries. The therapist communicates regularly with the physician and insurance claims adjuster. Emphasis is placed on the employees' progress towards functional capacities for work demands.
