Return to Work (RTW) job coaching is for designated injured employees who are returning form an absence or on transitional duty and not receiving onsite physical therapy with PreCare. RTW job coaching can be assigned to employees involved in work-related or non work-related claims.
Referrals can be made by the employer or claims handler; a physician prescription is not required. Each employee who is referred receives on average three job coaching sessions, before they are released by the physician to full duty work.
The fundamental goal with PreCare’s return to work job coaching is to determine and then bridge the gap between the physical demands of the original job with the physical capabilities of the injured employee.
Coaching sessions encompass assessment, instruction, demonstration and practice in body mechanics, counter-balance stretches and proper posture. Following each visit, PreCare produces a detailed report describing our findings and offering recommendations. We furnish these reports to the claims handler and physician.
PreCare’s RTW job coaching is a powerful tool that can be used to lessen time away from work. When treating physicians learn about the service, they are more comfortable in releasing employees back to work from an absence or lost time.
