PreCare provides onsite physical therapy treatment for work-related and non-work-related injuries. For workers’ compensation cases, we bill the claim file, for non-occupational injuries, we bill the health plan.
PreCare has structured its services to expedite recovery of injured workers by treating them in their work environment – the best possible means to assess how injuries occurred and to help avert future mishaps. One of the keys to the phenomenal results our clients realize is the meticulous care we take in selecting the clinician team who will be designated to each specific client location. We will hand pick our clinicians for you based on your profile: culture, hours of operation, geographic location and injury trends. Our clinicians are our employees. We value them, invest in them and empower them.
As soon as PreCare establishes a relationship with a client, we contact identified referring physicians, discuss our care model and the anticipated communication flow, and furnish doctors with PreCare prescription pads. Once a physician has issued and faxed a prescription to us, we notify the third-party administrator for authorization per the pre-established guidelines, and then alert our assigned PreCare therapist. The therapist will then arrange a schedule with the employee within 24 hours to begin the treatment process.
PreCare treatment providers arrive at the employer’s site with all materials they will need, including a treatment table, other required equipment, modalities and conditioning tools. We furnish those materials at no additional costs to you. We need only use of a private room with an electrical outlet.
Our therapists routinely perform treatment in retail stores, distribution centers, manufacturing plants, transit centers and even the remote work locations used by utility companies and law enforcement agencies. We devote a full hour of hands-on treatment time to each injured employee.
Our treatment approach incorporates each employee’s actual work environment into the treatment program, rather than simulating occupational activities with gym equipment in a clinic. Doing so enables us to perform an ergonomic assessment and to educate the employee about motions they should avoid in order to prevent injury recurrence.
We generate weekly written progress reports that we send to the patient’s physician and claims handler. PreCare will interact with your third-party administrator and will process the paperwork according to the protocols for approved prescriptions. The entire PreCare process is geared to result in efficient and safe return of the employee to full job duties.
